Our “Summer Dinner for All Seasons” was held at Terry & Sandra Dickey’s beautiful home. with seafood on the menu and NO disappointed guests! The guests now know the history of the beloved main course of Chilean Seabass:
The name "Chilean Seabass" was invented by a fish wholesaler named Lee Lantz in 1977. He was looking for a name that would be more attractive to the American market rather than the true identity of the Patagonian Toothfish. [ Smart man :-)] The guests didn’t care what Sandra called the FISH – they loved the Toothfish and the Scallops too!
The “Spring Dinner for All Seasons” was held at George & Rootie Foster’s lovely home. As seen here, both Rootie and George were sporting their Chef outfits. The guests were pleasantly delighted with exceptional fine dining and enchanted by the wine selection.
Some never knew a Brussel Sprout could taste so good! A fun time was had by all.
A fun time was had by all.... From the menu to the delicious homemade cookies made by Marie Fuller for everyone to take home. 623 Chevy Chase looked as festive as ever. Congratulations Shelby for being the recipient of a lovely dinner.
Hosted by Ann Wendell, the colors of the season dominated the lovely setting. Annette Deitch was the winner of this extraordinary dinner. She and her guests were treated to a scrumptious mea. The evening was enjoyed by all.
This year our afternoon tea, purchased by 12 individual bidders, had a English afternoon tea theme with special tea accoutrements along with lots of laughter, stories and good times!
Due to COVID-19, we are employing unusual ways to "FUNraise" this year..
So - It's Date Night Bidding:
Bidding Closed: Wednesday 10/14/2020
Due to COVID-19, we are unable to host the Annual Dinner & Auction this year in person. However, we are still hard at work with our fundraising efforts. We would very much appreciate your generous donation even though we can’t gather together this pandemic year. The benefit of donating will help us with our mission of Home Sweet Home: Bloom where you are Planted. This mission couldn’t be more true since we are all planted at home 24/7 and we need to continue to bloom and beautify our Sugar Creek neighborhood.
Hosted by the Edmiastons, this fete was a huge success.
The Friendship Tea and Silent Auction was a great success. Lovely venue, plenty of items to bid for all ages!
