PARTICIPATING CONTINUING PROJECTS

NATIONAL LEVEL

  • Arbor Day planting of a tree in the subdivision - 43 yr.
  • Maintenance of Mother's Garden in Sugar Creek - 14th year
  • Promote National goals and objectives in meetings and in newsletters

STATE LEVEL

  • Promote attendance to Spring and Fall conventions
  •  Promote State goals and objectives in meetings and in newsletters 

DISTRICT IV LEVEL

  • Brookwood Garden Therapy twice annually - 21st year
  •  Promote attendance to Spring and Fall District IV conventions 

HOUSTON FEDERATION

  • Refreshments for one Federation Meeting - 45th year
  • Members bring horticulture specimens for tables at meetings - 45th year
  • Donation of toys to Federation Christmas Project - 15th year
  • Two or more raffles prizes for Federation Christmas Fundraiser
  • Members participate in Federation Flower Show

COMMUNITY

  • Adopt-A-Spot quarterly cleaning of Lonnie Green park in Sugar Land -20th year
  • Members encouraged to recycle and to participate in Keep Sugar Land Beautiful events - 31st year
  • Annual Friendship Tea and Auction held in February; the community is invited. - 35th year
  • Annual Welcome Coffee held in September to promote participation in the Garden Club - 46th year
  • Neighborhood Holidays Decorations Contest held annually - 45th year
  • Monthly Yard of the Month judging and sign presentation - 45th year
  • Present of the club writes a column for the Sugar Creek Homes Association newsletter - 24th year
  • Backyard Garden tour open to the public - 1st year
