I am so honored to serve as the President of the Sugar Creek Garden Club in its 54th year.
The 2025-2026 term promises to be full of learning, sharing, caring and most of all fun!
We have a great lineup of informative programs for the monthly meetings, excursions/outings, and our annual fundraisers - The Live Auction and Dinner in October 2025, the Valentine Friendship Luncheon, and Silent Auction in February 2026.
With memories of a multi-inch snow storm in January quickly followed by excessive heat in February we slide into summer for the long haul. As always, we continue to support our goal of community beautification and gather to prune, weed, repair, plant and mulch those plants lost along the way or just ready tjo retire for the season.
In addition to the love of gardening and neighborhood beautification, we also reach out through civic involvement. Our fundraising efforts make it possible to donate to the Jim Huff Community Garden, the Mamie George Library and provide two scholarships to the horticultural science masters graduate program at Teas A&M, to name a few.
I am very proud to be a member of the Sugar Creek Garden Club along with all of you and to share in a small patch of earth that continues to blossom and bloom under my stewardship (commonly known as garden therapy!).
I look forward to seeing old friends and making new friends!
Please note the meeting and event dates and join us in learning, laughing and fellowship in the year ahead.
If you look close enough,
I am sure you will find a place in your garden where
"The Earth Laughs in Flowers."
